The Predalien

The predalien: the least impressive villain of any sci-fi movie.  For those of you who have yet to see Alien Vs Predator 2, you’re not really missing much.  Sorry.

Yet another reason why I support Obama

•March 20, 2008 • 1 Comment

I’ve only linked to the first of four clips from Obama’s speech on race relations in America, but I encourage any of the three people who read this blog to watch this and all parts of it. He really is a great speaker. I’m pretty cynical about politics, and Obama may simply have a great speech writer for him, but damn oh damn can he deliver a message in a way that it polite, but assertive and keeps my attention.

First post on Word Press – also, St. Patrick’s day at 4 peaks

•March 18, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Well, I did it.  I got my ass up super early and went to 4 Peaks for St. Patrick’s day at 6 am.  I am not one to drink in the mornings ever, but today was a holiday.  Also I was joined by Felipe, Max, and Alan, Justin, and Mark form work.  Jasa was there for the first hour and a half and then she had to take off to work.  Things got crazy by the end.  We were there for 6 hours and decided that it was time to leave and then the manager brings us a free pitcher…. so we drank that of course.  I posted all of the pictures from today on my web gallery.

Also, if you’re reading this you either randomly found it, or you were directed here from my old Blog which I used iWed to create.  Honestly, If it weren’t for Flock, the web browser that I use, I wouldn’t have switched my blog back to Word Press.  So, with Flock you can alternate click on anything you’ve selected and there’s an option for “blog this.”  It automatically copies and pastes your selection into it’s blog editor and there is a publish button which posts it to one of the services that Flock supports.  Word Press happens to be one.  Also I updated my web page.  iWeb now allows you to add your own HTML, so I added in my blog post as an iFrame.  admittedly it looks pretty goofy, but I figure people can just go there once, subscribe to my blog if they choose to and then never need to visit the blog page itself ever again.  that way they can just use their own RSS reader to keep to date with that.

Another test using Flock

•July 10, 2007 • Leave a Comment

I don’t think anyone reads my old word press blog anymore, since I got a .mac account I’ve been using the blogging software in iWeb, which is pretty basic, but I do like having my entire site in one program, in anycase, I’ve been using my wordpress blog as a testing area for the blog editing capabilities built into Flock.  honestly, it’s pretty neat, not sure though if I’ll officially switch back, at least not until I’m able to link to another blog page out side of iWeb, from iWeb

A (temporary?) return to iWeb

•October 12, 2006 • Leave a Comment

Well, I really don’t want to write this twice, but I am returning to using iWeb, at least temporarily.  I’m not very sure I’ll stay with it, but with the recent update to it along with my new .mac account, I’m giving it a try again.  So, really, not much has changed except my page may suck now… just kidding.  Actually it might to out to be better since iWeb has a great photo viewer thingy going on and now they have it so that you don’t have to update the ENTIRE site with even a simple change, so that’s good, but I still have my reservations about it, namely all the java script it uses and the fact that it turns all text into pictures with embedded text.  In any case, I’m trying it out again and for the few of you who have my blog subscribed to, you’ll need to add a subscription to the iWeb blog since Ill be using that for as long as I’m sticking with iWeb.

Thanks
